Peter Kardel | Senior Associate

Peter Kardel

Peter Kardel joined The Moran Company in June 2015. After graduating from Wake Forest University, Peter obtained his master’s degree at American University studying cognitive components of drug dependence. He has over seven years of experience evaluating health outcomes in claims databases (both private and Medicare), regional surveys, and clinical trials. His professional experience also includes management of federally-funded research projects, directing clinical trials, and pharmacoeconomic consulting.

Yaena Min | Senior Associate

Yaena Min is a Senior Associate at The Moran Company. She received her PhD in Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science in December 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research focused on geriatric pharmacotherapy regarding the effect of sleep medication use and poor sleep quality on risk of falls in community-dwelling older adults. Through her graduate work she has developed an understanding of pharmacoepidemiology, survey research methods, and secondary data analysis. She previously worked as a pharmacist in South Korea.

Gina Baxter | Associate

Gina Baxter

Gina Baxter joined The Moran Company in March of 2016. She graduated from the George Washington University with a Master’s in Public Health in May 2015, where she studied health policy, evaluation, and data analytics. Before joining The Moran Company, Gina was a research assistant at the National Institutes of Health where she standardized evaluation indicators across four large, nationally representative studies. Gina’s areas of expertise include assessing health and financial outcomes using various Medicare and publicly available databases and Medicare payment policy. Prior to her current role she worked in education for 10 years and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon.

Tope Olofintuyi | Research Analyst

Tope Olofintuyi

Tope Olofintuyi joined The Moran Company in December, 2016. As a Research Analyst, she will learn basic SAS programming skills and work with a variety of Medicare datasets to produce analyses.

Tope graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Public Policy in May, 2016. As a student, she advocated for abused and neglected children while serving as a Guardian ad Litem in her local community. She also helped to develop and implement a community resource referral network for local primary care clinics to address upstream factors adversely affecting health outcomes.

Prior to joining The Moran Company, Tope worked as a research assistant with the UNC School of Government where she assembled and interpreted data on gender representation in North Carolina’s local governments.

Kristen Santaromita | Associate


Kristen Santaromita joined The Moran Company in May 2014 as an associate. She has ten years’ experience working in health care associations, primarily gathering and analyzing member and industry data regarding aging services and alternate-site infusion providers. She graduated from Drew University in 2001 and completed her Master of Health Administration from Cornell’s Sloan Program in 2003. Since starting at The Moran Company, Kristen has been focused on learning the SAS programming language and assisting with analyses on reimbursement rates in the outpatient hospital department and comparing billing practices for Medicare Part B and D drugs.
